How to Add Music to InShot from Youtube? 2 Methods Defined

Inshot is one of the best app for video editing and on the other hand youtube has plenty of songs/music. If you are looking for a ways to add music to inshot from youtube then you are at the right place. 

If you have already tried adding songs to inshot video from youtube then you may already know that there is no option in inshot. But don’t worry I have two methods using which you can add music from youtube to your video. 

I have tried and tested different methods. Some i have learned from others and some I have tested my own. And after gone through different processes I came up with 2 different methods that i will share throughout this blog.

Adding Music to Inshot from Youtube (For Android)

As I mentioned earlier, I will share 2 methods. By default there is no any option to do it, first we will download the music from youtube to our phone and then will add it in our video by using default option of inshot.

Downloading Youtube Music/Song (Part 1)

This method is applicable only for Android devices as we can easily download video or mp3 songs on it. Now let’s learn which is the easy or most convenient method for downloading music or song that is found on youtube to our smartphone so later we use it in our video.

Step by Step Guide on downloading music from youtub with Screenshots.

• 1 Step: Open YouTube and search for the desired music.
• 2 Step: Once the video appears in the search results, tap on the three dots below the video on the right side.
• 3 Step: From the options that appear, select “Share.”
• 4 Step: In the sharing options, tap on “Copy Link.”
• 5 Step: Open Chrome or Google and type “ytmp3.nu/I0uU” in the address bar.
• 6 Step: Tap on the search bar on the website and paste the copied YouTube link.
• 7 Step: Click on “Convert.”
• 8 Step: After conversion, click on “Download.”
• Done: The music will be successfully downloaded to your phone.

Import Youtube Music: Part 2 (with Screenshots)

I hope so far followed each step and have successfully downloaded your music, now it’s time to add that music in inshot. The step after this is easy.

To do this:

• Open InSho.
• Import/Add video that you want to edit.
• Tab on “Music Icon”.
• Select the “My Music” option.
• Select the recently downloaded song, and Tab on the “USE” option to add it to your video.
• Reduce the volume of the original video to “0” by tapping on track row below music. 
• Adjust the volume, click on the tick mark to confirm your changes.
• Play the video to test and preview the changes you’ve made.
• Tab on Tick mark to save settings.
• Lastly, tab on Save option to save edited video.

Adding Music to Inshot Video from YT (For iPhone)

The method we have followed above can’t be applicable with iPhone so that’s why we will choose different option to add youtube song to InShot on iPhone. To do this on IOS is we first screen the record the screen while playing our desired song or music on iPhone and later use the same recorded video to extract the audio from.

Downloading Music: (Part 1)

Step by Step Method of Adding Youtube Music to Video on iPhone.

• Open Youtube.
• Use the search bar to find and play the desired song, e.g., “Let Me Love You.”
• Access Control Center by swiping up, then tap the screen recording icon.
• Start playing the song on Youtube while the screen recording is active.
• To stop recording, return to the Control Center and tap the screen recording icon.
• Check the message confirming the recording is saved to your Photos app.

Adding Music: Part 2 (with Screenshots)

The next after screen recording of your desired music is, import the same youtube music to InShot: To do this follow the below steps:

• Open InShot App.
• Import video that you want to edit.
• Tab on “Music Icon” then Select “Music+” option.
• Choose “Extract Audio from Video“.
• Select Recorded Video to add it to your video.
• Adjust the Video and tap on the Tick icon.
• Locate the video clip below the music row. Click on it and reduce the volume to “0” to mute the original video soundtrack. 
• Click on the tick mark to confirm your changes.
• Play the video to test and preview the changes you’ve made.
• Tab on Tick mark to save settings.
• Then Tab on Export option given on the above right corner.
• Lastly, tab on Save option to save edited video.
