How to Extract Audio from Video in InShot
In this blog, I will explain how to get audio from video in inshot App. If you have ever used Inshot App then you must have seen the option that is available in Add Music which is called, Extract audio from video.
The feature is used to add music in your video with extracting the background music or audio of any video you have and it maybe the video you have downloaded or in a from of screen recorded video.
This particular blog is about you you can it it so, whether you’re a content creator, social media enthusiast, or just looking to repurpose audio content, this step-by-step guide will walk you through the process.
Extracting Audio from Video in InShot – Step by Step
Make sure that you must have the video from which you want to get audio so the things will be easy for you.

Step 1: Open InShot and Select Your Video:
Begin by launching the InShot app on your device. Once opened, Inshot will give you 3 different options, Video, Photo and Collage. Since we are talking about video then we will click on the “Video” option and then select “New.” Choose the video from which you want to extract audio.
Step 2: Navigate to the Music Section:
Now its time to add music but before doing that I will suggest you to mute the existing sound. And to do that find Volume option and then reduce it to 0 to completely mute the original sound.
Once you have done, Locate the “Music” option, which is positioned between “Canvas” and “Sticker.” Tap on “Music” and then select “Music.”
Step 3: Initiate Audio Extraction:
As you can see that Inshot give you different option for adding music to your video but we will select Extract one which you will find at the top, which labels “Extract audio from video.” Click on this feature.
Step 4: Choose the Video Source:
In the next window, InShot allows you to pick the source video from which you wish to extract audio. If you haven’t any then you can download it and if you are IOS user then I will suggest you to play the song/music while recording screen which is also a form of video and later you can use that video to extract audio as well.
But if you have one then simply, select it and go ahead to the next step.
Step 5: Adjust Audio Length:
Here’s where customization comes in. You can decide the length of the audio you want to import from the video. Use the sliders to adjust the start and end points, tailoring the audio to your preference.
If you are iPhone user then you get to see “Fade in” & “Fade Out” option as well. Here, you can adjust the volume, apply a fade-in effect at the beginning and a fade-out effect at the end using the provided sliders.
Step 6: Preview and Finalize:
To ensure the audio is just right, play it by clicking on the central play icon. Once satisfied, click on the Tick to confirm your selection.
Step 7: Edit the Extracted Audio (Optional):
InShot goes the extra mile by allowing you to edit the extracted audio further. Double-click on the audio file, and a new window will open.
Here, you can adjust the volume and even tweak the length using the provided sliders.
